Top 5 Must Read Blogs

I have gotten the top-5 fever this week. So, here is another top 5 list this week.

I have recently become a reader of Hannes Johnson. He has really interesting stuff in his blog about the blogging business. Actually I found his blog through the Feed Link Train! He has tagged me to do a Top 5 Must Read Blogs. In most of this list, I see some of the most popular blogs repeatedly. So, I am going to list my Top 5 Must Read Blogs as a list of blogs that I enjoy reading and regularly stop by and comment. It’s time for another top 5. It’s time to return some of the love I have been getting from these fine folks.

1. Daily Cup of Tech: I was instantly hooked on to this technology blog as that is my primary focus here as well even before I started ShanKri-la. Not only are the articles informative, most of them are stuff that you can apply to daily life which aligns with our motto ‘where technology meets daily life!’. We got our first boost into the Blogosphere when Tim featured us as the ‘Technology Blog of the Week’. I can’t thank him enough! One of his recent posts..

2. eJabs: A blog that is run by my good friend Matt. Once again a terrific source of information on technology, health, blogging, wordpress and what not. He has been a constant source of encouragement with this endeavor of mine. A must read. One of his recent posts..

3. Blog-op: Chris is a regular commenter here and the proud author of Blog-op. If you are starting out blogging or have been blogging for a while, you will always leave with something new or gain a different perspective reading his blog. A must read. He opened me up to ‘link-love‘ through commenting. One of his recent posts..

4. Dosh Dosh: Maki is the innovator of Technorati Favorites Game and author of Dosh Dosh. Another must read blog if you are into learning about blogging. You will learn a lot about link building, SEO and lots of other stuff related to blogging. Read his recent entry..

5. Garry Conn: I am an avid reader of Garry Conn and he constantly amazes me with his incredible schemes that attract new readers. For instance, he pays his top commenters every month! And you can see me losing out bad to Matt at eJabs. Even then, his posts on blogging and how to make money doing that are thought provoking and make an interesting read. Read his recent entry..

There is no rule that I should stop with 5, right? I have to include another one of my recent favorites in the must-read list!

Blog About Your Blog: I am a regular at their Comment Fridays now. Plus, I am in the running for the mini-fridge. They are a community of bloggers getting together to blog about a variety of topics! Makes it a very interesting read. I might even become an author there one day!

Hope you enjoyed reading this list. If you haven’t already, subscribe to their feeds and leave comments and let them know what a great job they are doing!

It’s my turn to tag.. so I’m gonna tag Chris at Blog-op, Tim at DCOT and Maki at Dosh Dosh. (Matt & Garry are already doing this..) As Hannes did, I am going to leave 2 spots open for our readers. Leave a comment here if you would like to be tagged and I’ll update this post with a link to your blog.

Wow! Thanks for including me in this list. I am honored to know that you have me in a Top Five list… that is pretty cool!

    Best Regards,
    Garry Conn

    Cool list. Interesting blogs…

It’ll be interesting to see how far this meme will go ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Chris May 10, 2007 at 3:46 pm #

It’s done K, and many thanks for including me ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Matthew Jabs May 10, 2007 at 4:16 pm #

    Thanks K!

I’m very honored & flattered to be considered as one of your top 5 blogs! I also wanted to let you know that ShanKri-la is more & more becoming a go to place for great info. I kind of liken ShanKri-la to Lifehacker. If you could get a bunch of authors (like Lifehacker) there is no reason why your site shouldn’t grow to similar popularity!

That would be sweet…then maybe you could become a full-time blogger. Would that be something you’d be interested in? Or will you be “an Oracle” until you retire? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Nice list Shankri-la.

I like the pathways that memes can take. The one you did was actually started on my site – I tagged Collis @ NorthxEast; who tagged Hannes – which is where you saw it.

    Glad you enjoyed participating.

Matt.. you always have a kind word for me! I am in this as a great hobby but I do spend a great deal of time in this! My focus is still ‘Oracle’ but not limited to it.. as you know I’m a jack of a few trades.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

thepaperbull.. thanks for stopping by to comment! this does take some interesting paths..

K, after stumbling across your blog via a comment left on Blog-Op earlier today, you’ve now earned your way into my Google Reader subscription roster. Great stuff here!
