Forget Screenshots. Quote Smarter with Kwout!

if you like taking screenshots of parts of websites for your blog or just to post everywhere in the Internet and share it with your friends, this going to thrill you.

I use my favorite screenshot capture tool FastStone Capture a lot for my blogging as I go about gathering screenshots to illustrate a point or product.

Also, taking screenshots of Twitter updates and using that as a quote has become the in-thing now in the blogging world.

Traditional screenshots render the links images and all the attributes in the webpage useless.

Kwout is a free service which is available as a browser bookmarklet that let’s you clip web pages with links and other attributes intact. It saves the screenshot as an image map.

Whenever you need to quote, just click the ‘Kwout’ bookmarklet, select the area you want to quote and post it anywhere you want.

Once you Kwout’ed, you get an option to get an embed code for your website or to post it directly on Twitter or Facebook. Looks like it could be useful for quoting tweets with the links, etc. and in many other instances.

Get Kwout (for Firefox, IE and others)
