Amazon has just made the first move in what could become a huge competition to Netflix and Hulu in the video streaming market.

Amazon has just started offering free unlimited commercial free streaming of around 5000 movies and TV shows to it’s Amazon Prime members.

Amazon Prime costs $79 per year and you get FREE unlimited 2-day shipping on all items you order and One-day shipping for $3.99/item.

Amazon Instant Video or Video on Demand also lets you rent movies for instant streaming at around $4 or $5 a movie.

With Hulu Plus and Netflix instant streaming plans costing about the same, Amazon has an advantage with the shipping deals you get with every order.

Granted Amazon’s content is a puny compared to Netflix but as they get get more content through deals with major studios it is going to be a compelling player in the video streaming market.
