iPhone 3G Arrives and Top iPhone Resource Revived

Yes, we took the plunge and got our hands on our new 16GB iPhone 3G (white) this morning.

I had announced the launch of our new blog Top iPhone Resource with the release of 1st gen iPhone but I ended up not getting it at that time. Now, with us getting our own iPhone 3g, we are reviving our TopiPhoneResource.info blog back into life. My wife Shriya & I will be blogging all about iPhones over there.

Come see our iPhone 3G unboxing with a lot of pictures of the new iPhone 3G (white) and the story on how we got it at AT&T.

As a sign of showing our seriousness with this new iPhone blog, we have also acquired the dot com companion and will be setting it up to redirect to the dot com address this weekend.

As you have come to expect with ShanKri-la, you can be assured of quality and useful information at our iPhone blog as well. So, head on over for your iPhone fix! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great post! I just checked out your pictures and LOVE the white iPhone! I was looking for white iPhone pictures but couldn’t find any HQ ones.. Thanks for sharing! How do you like it? Were you able to activate it? And do you think the plastic back will scratch more than the first generation iPhone?

Thanks for the cool new resource! I’m certainly intrigued by the iPhone, but I must question whether or not it’s worth it. That’s a lot of money for a phone.

I’m not a huge cell (mobile) phone person… The thing is that I’m in front of a computer 24/7 (at least it feels like 24/7), often two computers. I had a BlackBerry but found receiving email to it was far more annoying than simply checking my Outlook on the PC… so I got rid of it and now I sport the Sanyo Katana II. I love it, not for its amazing features or superb picture quality… but because it does all I’ll ever need in a phone, that is to make and receive phone calls!

Tell me this though… do working professionals want to stray away from their BlackBerry phone to go with the iPhone?

Rick, I’m quite the opposite and I travel quite a bit even if it’s just for the weekend. You are right that you can get the most done at a PC but now I am able to spend the time I wait in a line or while my wife’s shopping a ta mall, catching up with my comments, checking out my mail, etc right from my phone. To me it’s just bought me some extra time in the same 24 hours! ๐Ÿ™‚

liv, we are loving the iPhone and having fun with it. As many have expressed here it definitely is a lot of money for a phone. But, with our lifestyle and a budding web design business my wife is working on, we are trying to use this investment positively by staying connected all the time and manage our blogs (3 and counting more.. ) wherever we are.

Thanks everyone for chiming in and taking a peek at our revived blog!

You make a good point, K.. there are times, like standing in line or sitting in a waiting room, that I wish I could be more productive… where checking emails would be ideal.

Sounds too expensive for a phone even if iphone lovers would tell you that this isn’t just a phone ๐Ÿ˜‰

The iPhone is hugely popular here in Moscow even though it has yet to be officially launched. It is estimated there are some 20,000 cracked phones currently operating on the market and more are being sold each day. While I’m impressed with the iPhone I prefer to wait until they are officially released here. For those that have them, enjoy!

The iPhone always looks like a great gadget to me, but I’m just not sure I could live with only that – I have a HTC Tytn II with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, not sure I could do without it.

For me the iPhone would be a very nice secondary mobile to have, but then I’d need yet another phone for one with a decent camera, this is gonna cause problems in carrying all these mobiles around! LOL

The iPhone has a great design and looks noble and comfortable. But maybe this mobile phone is too expensive and I would never would buy it, because I don’t need so much features on a mobile phone, and without a keyboard it’s horrible for me to write short messages. Somehow it’s a great invention.

It is good to find quality and useful information about iPhone. I think here we can find the best branded iphones with different style’s and comfort look. I like it.
