I think this is an excellent idea to advertise your blog for free. It is a mix of banner exchange and contextual ad programs. You join this network and your blog is shown in the network based on your context, for free. All you have to do is to display the ad banner in your blog and your visibility in the network is proportional to the clicks others get from your blog. I think this is a cool idea and I have signed up for it to try it out here to gain more exposure among other tech blogs.
The campaign is offered by adgridwork and they give you a dashboard showing how many times your blog was requested and shown in the network.
I was a little leary about the quality of sites that would be shown here as there didn’t seem to be a site review being done before getting accepted like Google Adsense program. But, they offer a way to manually restrict some sites (competitors in their words). Since I don’t see other tech blogs as competitors, I plan to use this feature to block spammy sites. If you do spot anything out of context, please leave a comment with the url that is displayed in the ad or use the contact form to let me know.
A neat idea indeed with better prospects as the network grows. [via AdesBlog]
Have you used anything of this sort before? I am open to hear your thoughts on this especially if you have had bad experiences with this.

[…] AdGridWork is a free service where you can advertise your site for free. Your ads will be shown in other blogs in the network depening on how many ads you show. I am not sure if AdGridWork intentionally serves these ads or if their code just got compromised by someone. I just looked at the metrics from displaying their ads and it doesn’t seem to generate a lot of clicks anyways. So bye bye AdGridWork for me. […]
