Import Google Notebook into Zoho

Zoho Notebook offers an excellent alternative to Google Notebook. zoho-notebook

Even though I have proclaimed Evernote to be the best alternative to Google Notebook, Zoho sure beat Evernote to the race in providing an import tool to get your Google Notebook content across easily.

I am sure Evernote will follow suit shortly. But, I was curious to give the Zoho import tool a try. Zoho was named at ReadWriteWeb as one of the best successful startups from India. Naturally, I had to give the import tool shot and share it with you.

How to import Google Notebook to Zoho?

You can do this import very easily in just a few steps.

  1. Install Zoho Notebook Helper Firefox extension
  2. Once installed, login to Zoho Notebook (you can even use your Google login)
  3. Also login to Google Notebook.
  4. Go to this url chrome://zoho-notebook/content/g2z.html
  5. Hit the Start link
  6. That’s it.

Then I just refreshed my Zoho Notebook page and there it was. All my Google Notebook content in Zoho Notebook! 🙂 Since, it was a clean slate in my Zoho account, it was easy to import. But, it would be nice to provide an interface to pick and choose where you want to import your notes if you already have some sort of organization in Zoho Notebook.

I am intrigued by the Zoho Notebook interface as there are plenty of options that I don’t see in Evernote. If you have used Zoho & Evernote, I would love to hear the differences and why you prefer one over the other.

In fact, I plan on reviewing Ubernote as well in the coming weeks as was recommended by Joshua Ho of Ubernote.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Zoho Office.

I’m very impressed that they can not only “stay around” but continue to grow and be successful all while competing with giants like Google!

I checked into Zoho a year or so ago, but never kept up with it…I may give it another shot, though I’m getting everything more & more integrated into all the different apps Google offers.

I still wonder if Google is going to buy Evernote…seems like a logical move to me.

    PS K-man…

Your CommentLuv plugin is throwing an error when I try to comment & is not linking to the commentators last post. The error next to the check box reads, “cURL error 7: couldn’t connect to host”.

I wanted to test the CommentLuv with a different Commentator email & website and now it’s working!

Looks like it may be a problem with my DebtFreeAdventure Feed! I’ll have to check it out.

    Ha ha…got it!

I was telling my http://www.CommentLuv.com page to “auto discover” my feed and it was finding the wrong address! Fixed it & now I’m good to go.

Zoho looks like a great tool. I haven’t really used Google notebook much though either, so I’m not sure I will bother. Cheers though.
