Amazing Time Lapse Video

Just browsing through my Google Reader and came across this mind blowing time lapse video of the sky!

túrána hott kurdís by hasta la otra méxico! from Till Credner on Vimeo.

For the curious, the maker of the video says he shot this at

Most locations are in southern Germany around the Swabian Alb where I live. The lake scene is in Mecklenburg, northern Germany and the mountain scenes in Switzerland. The time lapse work was done in the last two years with a DSLR Nikon D200, a heavy battery, tripod, extensive post processing and not enough sleep.

Kudos to the maker of this video – first for his skill & patience in getting these incredible images, second for this video compilation.

Enjoy!

Very peaceful find you have there, K. 🙂

It’s funny that we live our lives so fast, if it weren’t for these kinds of videos (time-lapse ones), then we’d probably miss out on a lot more. A good reminder though to slow down and take it all in naturally. 😉

I love when time lapse is done well. This is a good example. I have been watching the Planet Earth DVD’s and they are also amazing, you should check them out if you haven’t already.

Very nice indeed, I especially like the night scenes with the shooting stars.

The stars look amazing although I can’t tell if there are shooting stars or plane trails that you see on some of the shots.

It goes to show how time is such an important element in visual perception. If I had taken these time-lapse photos in my back yard I don’t think I’d be able to look out of my kitchen window in the same way again.
