I usually post on usb flash drive deals such as these on Fridays but had to pass this on to you as soon as I saw it this morning.
Buy.com has an awesome deal this morning selling Kingston 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for just $12.12. Plus, you get free shipping! No mail-in rebates or coupon codes or a new Google Checkout account.
I have gotten many of these and given it as gifts before. I use a Kingston 4GB everyday and they are sturdy and lasts me a long time.
If you use a flash drive everyday, check out 12 Must have Portable Apps for your USB drive.
Or you can browse through posts tagged portable apps for more.
Thanks for the tip! I just picked a few up.
Kingston is a good brand. You don’t want to buy cheap ‘no-brand’ storage media, unless you don’t care about the data.
that is a good deal! 🙂

Andy,
Thanks for dropping by and letting me know of this. I thrive on beta software and would absolutely try this. I will get back to you with my feedback. 🙂
Joshua, great! 🙂
TigerTom, I can vouch for it too.
Matthew.. good to see you buddy! Hope you got a few.
One point to note is that the Kingston Data Traveler is pretty slow at transfers. I bought one on sale a while ago and felt it was “okay”. Then I ran across PortableApps.com and tried using it. The installer would hang halfway through and I finally figured out it was the low data transfer rate. I ponied up the cash for an OCZ Turbo (one of the fastest USBs on the market) and it was like going from an old trusty Toyota Corolla to a sleek Porsche turbo. PortableApps runs great on the OCZ.
Thanks for the great tip. I usually use flash drive to store all my data, because I had a hard drive die on me 3 years ago. But, since my 2Gb flash isn’t big enough, I needed something more. This post of your just reminded me I should really get something with more space.
