Why Do I Blog?

Matt over at eJabs wrote recently about why he blogs and he was in fact inspired by a similar post by another fellow blogger. Now, it’s my turn..

I have been a silent lurker at many a blogs for a long time! I like to read about technology, news, personal finance and entertainment. I was and still am amazed at the wealth of information blogs bring to the web medium! Well, you may ask, what are you going to bring to a reader that the millions of blogs out there cannot already provide. Probably not a whole lot! But, my biggest challenge has been to find information that I want to keep track of, at one place or at least at a few places. Tailored to my needs. Catered to my taste. What I hope of achieving through this blog is to share information that people with taste similar to mine can enjoy. Tailored to their needs. Catered to their taste. Of course, it will need a lot of fine tuning and I can’t do it without you, the reader. So please do leave me your feedback, comments, thoughts and suggestions.

Nonetheless, there are so many nice side effects of blogging as Matt enumerates in the Five Reasons standard. Mine goes pretty much the same way so I won’t bore you with the details. Here is a gist though..

  • Helps to stay informed personally
  • Motivates me to learn new things
  • Possibility of a passive income
  • Give something back to the web community
  • Appease my hunger to share stuff I love

I hope you get as much fun reading this site as I have writing for it. Thank you for visiting and hope you enjoy your visits to come!

Thank you for the link & for sharing your blogging passions! Your reasons are very addictive & can lead to a serious blogging addiction…so be careful!!

I am a fan of your theme and have considered going to the “2 sidebars together” structure myself.

I see you’ve improved your site quite a bit just in the last few days! Keep up the good work!

    Again…thanks for the link K-man!

Bringing new life to your old posts? 🙂

Are these reasons still valid, or are there some new ones now?
