I love Dropbox hacks.
Do you frequently connect to your other computers via FTP or SSH? Now, you can easily find your remote computers’ IP addresses thanks to Dropbox.
Of course, if you are a Dropbox user, you probably have Dropbox installed on all your computers. In fact, this tip assumes you have.
To find the remote computer’s IP address,
- Login to Dropbox web page
- Go to Account and ‘My Computers’ tab
- Hover over the ‘i’ blue icon in the ‘Last activity’ column
Voila! You will see your remote computer’s IP address!
I am adding this to my Dropbox hacks collection immediately. 🙂
great info thank you I’ll be back on your blog.
p.s it’s great colors black’n’blue
That doesn’t seem very interesting, this way you only see the IP of the last computer, from which you logged in. Or am I wrong here?
You could definitely find some simple program, that would append the current IP to some text file located inside the Dropbox folder. Do you know such?
Nice website, though.
really a good post.
