With the multitude of smartphones having the ability to upload your videos to YouTube without syncing to your computer, this is a welcome move.
We shoot videos with our cell phones and just press upload. They don’t get any kind of editing and a lot of videos in YouTube have those crappy few seconds here and there that don’t need to be there.
Now, with YouTube’s online video editor, you could do some quick editing to your uploaded video right from your browser making your videos all the more watchable.
With this new editor, you can:
- Combine multiple videos you’ve uploaded to create a new longer video
- Trim the beginning and/or ending of your videos
- Add soundtracks from our AudioSwap library of tens of thousands of songs
- Create new videos without worrying about file formats and publish them to YouTube with one click—no upload necessary
Here is a YouTube video that explains how the YouTube Online Video Editor works
I for one really welcome this awesome little tool in my browser and can edit some of the videos I shoot with my iPhone and upload to YouTube. Of course with iPhone 4, I might end up using the iMovie iPhone app that is coming soon but for the rest of it this is going to be great!
