How to Send Google Reader Posts to Evernote?

I was just really geeked about Evernote for Windows 3.5 beta and its new features.

If you use both Evernote and Google Reader, I promise you will love this tip.

I store a lot of Google Reader links to Delicious for later reading. But, Evernote has become a repository of my various notes, references, tips, etc. I use the Evernote web clipper to cut stuff from Google Reader and store it in Evernote.

You probably have seen my post on integrating Twitter with Google Reader as well as saving Google Reader posts as PDF.

On the same note, you can now send Google Reader posts to Evernote. This is how you do it

  • Go to Settings tab in Google Reader
  • Click the Send to tab
  • Click on the Create a custom link
    Enter Name: Evernote
    URL: http://s.evernote.com/grclip?url=${url}&title=${title}
    Icon URL: http://www.evernote.com/favicon.ico
  • Now, if you go to the bottom of a post in Google Reader you will Evernote in the Send to menu

Now you can also enjoy clipping your Google Reader posts to Evernote without ever leaving your Google Reader.
